Staring my Lenovo IdeaPad L340 review is an assessment of its processor features and results. When you read this review, I presume that what is at the top of your mind is that you want a fast laptop. Ok, to do that, you need a great processor on your laptop. Lenovo IdeaPad L340 comes in either 15′′ or 17′′. The 2 sizes can be shipped with the 9th Intel Core i7-9750H CPU. However, the 17′′ will also ship with AMD Ryzen 5 3500U. If you have an IdeaPad L340 with the 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H CPU, you have a 6-core processor with a top clock speed of 4.50 GHz and a 12 MB cache. These features pledge a fast laptop capable of multitasking without slowing down.

On the other side, once you have it, If you have the AMD Ryzen 5 3500U laptop edition, you get a 4-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.70 GHz and a 4 MB cache. This processor is not as good as the 9th Gen Intel Core i7, but it will also be capable of multitasking efficiently.

Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Review-Memory (RAM)

The laptop memory and output features are next in my Lenovo IdeaPad L340 review. A laptop needs a decent amount of memory (RAM) to allow the CPU to carry out tasks efficiently. To rate a memory provided by a device, we look at the supported maximum capacity and whether the memory is expandable. The laptop has 2 DDR4 SODIMM slots max. 16 GB of memory (combined maximum).

Since the laptop has 2 memory slots, you can extend the memory by inserting additional details if you need to. I highly advise acquiring an IdeaPad L340 with at least 8 GB for better results.

Besides, affirm that the second slot is open – you can have the better option with up to 16 GB of memory, if necessary. I have suggested unique laptops that give you the best results in the business portion of this study.

Its storage options are third in my Lenovo IdeaPad L340. A laptop needs a combination of accelerated processing, a decent memory capacity, and easy storage to achieve maximum efficiency.

We look at the storage form and capacity to assess the quality of storage provided by a laptop. We also investigate whether the laptop provides an extension of microSD cards.

Nice storage options provided by Lenovo IdeaPad L340. Up to 2TB of HDD and an optional 16GB of Intel Optane storage are available. 128GB of SSD for downloading the operating system and 512GB of HDD for saving the files will be the safest and most economical option.

But you can throw up to 1 TB if you have a big storage need. Flashlight. HDD.

Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Review -Graphics Card

In IdeaPad, L340 Gaming Lenovo mounts two models of Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1650 so buyers can pick from 3-4 gigabytes of video memory. This is included in our analysis model which provides performance in the 3DMark benchmarks for the lower midfield. However, the Lenovo laptop is marginally higher than average in contrast to our checks on other laptops on this GPU. Users must predict an output drop of about 14 percent when it comes to battery capacity.

Lastly, I take a look at the output in my Lenovo IdeaPad L340. This section is very important for readers to buy this laptop for games or application intensive in graphics. If you’re not a gamer or a graphic, take a peek at the deals section of this review. This graphics card provides a devoted memory for 4GB with a max graphic velocity of 3.5GHz (for AMD Radeon Vega 8). These characteristics power graphics cards to handle graphics-heavy games and applications. It is available with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB or AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics.

LENOVO IDEAPAD L340 REVIEWKEYBOARD AND TOUCHPAD

Keyboard

A fast trip and a simple pressure point are provided by the keyboard in the IdeaPad L340. The fingertips find a strong grip on the surface when writing, but, in comparison to the other buttons, the up and down arrow keys are very weak. The Lenovo laptop also features monochrome keyboard backlighting that glows blue in our review edition, in addition to a full-fledged number pad. The lighting is standardized and is customizable in two phases.

Touchpad Pad

With the IdeaPad L340 Gaming, Lenovo has opted for a ClickPad as a mouse replacement. This lies in its frame a bit loosely, resulting in rattling sounds when using it. The buttons on the mouse only respond to heavy pressure on the pad’s bottom corners. Furthermore, the surface gives a fairly stubborn resistance to the fingertips, which makes navigating slightly difficult with the mouse pointer.

  • 1. DC power jack
  • 2. RJ45
  • 3. HDMI 2.0
  • 4. USB 3.1 (Gen. 1)
  • 5. USB 3.1 (Gen. 1)
  • 6. Headphone/mic combo
  • 7. USB Type-C
  • 8. Kensington lock slot

IdeaPad L340-15IRH Gaming offers only the most appropriate ports, situated on the left side of the laptop only. Lenovo also does not have a memory card reader and a Thunderbolt connector; for the 3.0 model, there is a USB Type-C port in return. It can not be used to charge the laptop, however.

A Gigabit Ethernet port and a Wi-Fi module are available for the Lenovo IdeaPad L340-15IRH Gaming, which follows the 802.11 a, b, g, n, and ac protocols. However, the transmission rates are not as high as on devices such as the HP Omen 15, owing to the lack of 2×2 MIMO antenna technology. The transmission speeds of the L340 are still only moderate at 290 Mb/s for receiving data and 309 Mb/s for transmitting data, apart from the antenna technology already listed.

LENOVO IDEAPAD L340 REVIEWDisplay and touch

The IdeaPad L340 Game console consists of a 15.6-inch IPS display that has a 1920×1080 pixel resolution. The light lies at an average of 253 cd/m2 in the midfield of our selected reference units. The same refers to the 83 percent distribution of brightness. According to our readings, with a very high frequency of 25,910 Hz, the Lenovo laptop’s monitor just starts to flicker at a brightness value below 20 percent. As this benefit is very high, even consumers with sensitive eyes do not have any trouble using the L340-15IRH Gaming. Buyers may also order the IdeaPad L340-15IRH Gaming with a TN panel in addition to the panel that is used here. It also has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a luminosity of 220 cd/m2, according to the datasheet.

LENOVO IDEAPAD L340 REVIEWBattery, Tone, and Settings

In our realistic Wi-Fi test, the IdeaPad L340 Gaming reached a runtime of 6:49 hours. With this, the second to last position under our preferred comparative devices is filled. An even shorter runtime is only seen by the Asus ROG Zephyrus G GA502DU.

It takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes for the 45 Wh battery to be fully charged again with the supplied charger. Our calculations reveal that when idle and up to 124 watts under load, the IdeaPad L340  Gaming has a power consumption of at least 3.8 watts. It is thus, on average, more economical than the other laptops in our field of testing and has the lowest energy demand, especially under the full load. The included power adapter supplies 135 watts of output and thus has enough ability to be able to consistently provide power to the Lenovo IdeaPad L340 Gaming.

Verdict

The Ideapad L340 Gaming (15′′) might seem like a pretty promising option if you are looking for a gaming laptop that will not break your budget. In reality, the laptop looks good at first sight and if it wasn’t for the Gaming sticker on the chassis base, one would never say that this computer has the potential to run any AAA titles.

Again, doing that will put some more of the sweet green cashback for you. That implies, you can pay only a little extra and get the newly upgraded HP Pavilion Gaming (2019) or the Acer Nitro 5, all of which have better battery life and improved upgradability.

It all just sounds too amazing to be real. And… that’s all. Its low price stems primarily from its poor build quality and TN panel. You can go for the IPS edition, of course, but then you are entering the territories of Legion Y540 and the Ideapad L340 Gaming (15′′) becomes less desirable. A GTX 1050 with only 3 GB of memory as well as a 4 GB GeForce GTX 1650, which would be the natural option, should you go for this machine, particularly with the modest GPU choice you have. It was normal, considering the price tag, to pair the laptop with a budget panel. The 1080p TN panel (BOE 0812) of our setup is outstanding in response times (it is critical to the gamer) and has no PWM in use for the adjustment of brightness. On the other hand, for exterior use, the show is too dark, has a bad contrast ratio, and horrible angles. Altogether, we do not agree that the Ideapad L340 Gaming (15′′) is the bad thing about a computer. The old Ideapad 330 just brings so many and isn’t particularly based on gaming. If the price is reduced or any of the features of this notebook are changed, it would be a great fit for budget gamers.
