Kanye West defies Black Lives Matter
The Black Lives Matter movement has gone all-in on Kanye West.
Because the BLM clearly knows West's profound investment in the culture, a field in which it has become a key participant and will not allow challenges.
Candace Owens, a political analyst, appeared with West, wearing a shirt that read "White Lives Matter."
The scene was Paris Fashion Week, when West, now known as Ye, put up a fashion presentation.
The Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the original flagship group, ignored her,
while the rival BLM Grassroots blasted both and invited them to a struggle session.
West has bipolar disorder and is known to tweet during manic moments, allowing him to say things that irritate everyone.
But West is also a creative genius and an aesthetic legend, and his rap music, fashion lines, and other efforts have garnered him a massive global following.
Though the location of West's fashion show was kept a mystery, the venue "was teeming with shouting fans and photographers,"
It demonstrated how much of BLM is still at odds with American culture, despite its standing as a political insider and heavyweight during the Biden administration.
The tweets from BLMGNF — the corporation founded in 2013 by BLM godmothers Alicia Garza, Patrisse Cullors, and Opal Tometi
began humorously by claiming that "there is never an appropriate moment to harm Black people."
BLM has a strong connection to this world, having collaborated on the musical Hamilton and the Oscar-winning film Roma.
