 Adults with mild to moderate hearing loss can buy hearing aids at a store under the guidance of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration

even without a prescription, medical checkup, or audiologist visit — and for thousands of dollars less than they used to cost

According to FDA, the regulation could result in average hearing aid prices dropping by up to $3,000 per pair

"Offering easy access to OTC hearing aids -- something that seems quite small -- is a solution that can improve our customer’s health"

Walmart's chief medical officer said :

 Walgreens is offering hearing aids for $799 a pair in its stores and online, and Walmart also offers it for between $199 and $999 per pair

Nearly 300 stores across the country will carry hearing aids owing to the company. The cost of the devices will range from $200 to $3,000

 Hearing aids with an inside-the-ear component that works amplified sound into the ear canal are called air conduction systems

The FDA stated that these devices will have sound limitations in an effort to stop further hearing loss

 As per the White House, nearly 10 million adults under the age of 60 include the nearly 30 million Americans who have some degree of hearing loss!
