Apple has published watchOS 8.4.1, a minor upgrade to the company's watchOS 8 operating system, which was released in September.

The latest update can be downloaded over-the-air. AppleInsider claims that users can manually install the update in the Watch app on their iPhone.

The watchOS 8.4.1 update is available for Apple Watch Series 4 and later and includes unspecified bug fixes.

The watchOS 8.4.1 update is available for free on the iPhone by heading to "General" -> "Software Update" in the dedicated Apple Watch app. The Apple Watch must have a battery charge of at least 50%.

If you have automatic updates enabled on your Apple Watch, the update will be loaded overnight. At present time, it is not available for Apple Watch Series 3 users, but it may be in the near future.

Apple has announced watchOS 8.4, the watchOS 8 operating system's third major update.

According to Apple's release notes, watchOS 8.4 fixes an issue that could cause some Apple Watch chargers to fail to work with the Apple Watch as expected.

After updating to watchOS 8.3, a handful of Apple Watch Series 7 owners have reported charging troubles.
